Research Areas:

  • Computational intelligence, heuristics, metaheuristics and hyper-heuristics for optimization, machine learning, computer vision, and applications of artificial intelligence in Engineering, Health and Business.

Dr. Conant-Pablos holds a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Sonora in 1986; a M.Sc. in Computer Science and Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Monterrey in 1991 and 2004, respectively. Dr. Conant-Pablos is Associate Professor in the Department of Computing of the School of Engineering and Sciences and researcher of the Research Group with Strategic Focus in Intelligent Systems at the Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Monterrey. He is a member of the National System of Researchers and the Mexican Academy of Computing. He has published more than 35 research papers in international journals and conferences. As university professor (1988 to date) he has taught more than 50 undergraduate and graduate courses. He has collaborated in several development and research projects sponsored by enterprises and the government.
