Ramon F. Brena is full professor and researcher at the Tecnologico de Monterrey since 1990. Dr. Brena holds a PhD from the INPG, Grenoble, France, with a doctoral Thesis related to Program Synthesis. His current research areas include Ambient Intelligence, Multiagent Systems, Machine Learning, Text Corpus Semantics, and Artificial Intelligence in general. Dr. Brena has published 40 journal papers or book chapters, as well as 70 conference papers and has edited two research books and published a textbook. He has been visiting professor at the U. of Texas at Dallas and the Université de Montréal, and has served over 100 times in conferences Program Committees or as journal reviewer. He has supervised 7 PhD and 24 Master theses. Dr. Brena was head of the Intelligent Systems Master program and head of the “Context Intelligence” research chair. He is a member of the ACM, the Mexican Academy of Sciences, and the Mexican Academy of Computer Science, where he leads the section on Knowledge and Reasoning.
